If those season 9-ers headed to the Top 12 need a little inspiration this week, it’ll come in the form of season 8 winner Kris Allen and fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta . Both will perform on Thursday’s ‘Idol’ results show, according to EW.com. Iraheta will perform her new single, the tender ballad ‘Scars,’ off her debut album, ‘Just Like You.’ Meanwhile, Thursday’s show, during which four contestants — two male and two female — will be booted, will also highlight Allen’s recent fund-raising trip to Haiti as part of the ‘Idol Gives Back’ campaign.

, Life After ‘Idol’ In the sparkly line that stretched around the block for the Idols, Rock My Town! concert at New York City’s intimate Highline Ballroom, dedicated “Glamberts” — some of whom had begun lining up that morning, or driven 11 hours to be there — discussed whether their patron saint Adam Lambert would close the show, despite Kris Allen ‘s having won the title of ‘American Idol.’ Kris Allen fans, on the other hand, expressed concerns (which ultimately proved legitimate) that the prominent turnout would thin after Lambert’s and last season’s fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta’ s sets. But those who left early, whatever their reasons, missed the point of having all three Idols at one show. The trio of Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert, dubbed “Kradison” by fans, performed together Friday night as part of the exclusive Ryan Seacrest-sponsored event for the first time since the season 8 American Idols Live! summer tour ended

, Blogosphere , Life After ‘Idol’ — Justice! Allison Iraheta has been signed to a major record label. It’s music to our ears [ EW.com ] — Adam Lambert is a great singer, but he’s no Mick Jagger — so says Rob Zombie, anyway [ E! ] — Next season, our votes will count more than ever before [ NY Times ] (more headlines after the jump)

Allison Iraheta is joining Kris Allen (and Britney Spears !) on 19 Recordings/Jive Records, which after Adam Lambert signed with 19/RCA yesterday leaves Danny Gokey as the most conspicious “American Idol” finalist without a label. It makes sense–I think Allison, Adam and Kris all have legit futures in the music industry. But Danny seems more like someone who did well within the “American Idol” universe but is gonna struggle outside of it — like Taylor Hicks has
