, News & Rumors After being taken to the hospital for “serious health issues” Tuesday, 24-year-old rocker Crystal Bowersox returned to the ‘American Idol’ stage fully recovered and in triumphant form. “I feel good,” she told host Ryan Seacrest. “I’m a tough cookie.” Us Weekly cited a source who said the semifinalist fell ill due to complications from diabetes, though the show never confirmed that diagnosis.

In the smartest move to come from the stupidest move ever, ‘American Idol’ has dropped its individual contestant Twitter accounts, which updated all at once and flooded feeds with robotic PR-drenched tweets. All the Idols can now be found on the same account @AI9Contestants (better), but it looks like the wave of simultaneous updates will still be coming (worse). This was the first time contestants were allowed to have any sort of social media while still in the competition, for good reason.

Could one of this season’s ‘American Idol’ frontrunners be disqualified? ‘Idol’ executive producer Ken Warwick told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning that producers are awaiting doctors’ clearance for contestant Crystal Bowersox to perform in tonight’s show.
