, Interviews , Life After ‘Idol’ Casey James wooed America from day one when judge Kara DioGuardi asked him to let his hair down and take his shirt off during his audition. (Okay, we also felt a little bad for him.) But somehow, the blond guitarist took that notably skimpy audition and turned it into a third place ‘Idol’ finish. James sang ‘Daughters’ by John Mayer , chosen for him by the judges, and ‘Okay, It’s Alright With Me’ by Eric Hutchinson for his last performance show
