A Role Fit for a Queen: Emilia Clarke Talks ‘Game of Thrones’ and Daenerys

Filed under: Reality-Free , Celebrity Interviews , Stay Tuned When HBO showed the media a 15-minute trailer for its epic fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’ in January, two things were immediately apparent: First, the Wall (a 700-foot ice structure at the northern edge of the kingdom of Westeros) looked amazing. Another thing that jumped out at me: Newcomer Emilia Clarke was giving a very compelling performance as the exiled royal Daenerys Targaryen. No actor on the show had a greater challenge: Clarke’s character was viewed by her haughty brother Viserys (Harry Lloyd) as a mere bargaining chip in his quest to regain the throne of Westeros

Tom Bergeron to ABC: I Won’t Avoid Rihanna Questions in Chris Brown ‘DWTS’ Interview

Filed under: Dancing With The Stars , TV News Despite a public outcry to yank Chris Brown from performing on tonight’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ results show after he broke a window and trashed a ‘Good Morning America’ dressing room last week when asked questions about his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, execs have steadfastly stood by the troubled singer. ‘Saturday Night Live’ – Zach Galifianakis / Jessie J Recap

[' Saturday Night Live ' - ' Season 36, Episode 17 '] You can count on Zach Galifianakis to bring his own peculiar take on humor when he hosts ‘ Saturday Night Live ,’ a humor that seems to embrace the live and unpredictable nature of the show. Not many other hosts carry with them the reputation or the chops to bring the element of “anything can happen” back to the forefront, and it’s what I enjoyed most about this episode. Even if that “anything” turns into “nothing,” we still watch the show with a different kind of anticipation that can help make every sketch just a smidge funnier.
