Filed under: Reality-Free , TV Previews , The Show Girl In their grand — albeit still fairly new — tradition of featuring powerful dramatic series, AMC has a new murder-mystery show to add to their critically-acclaimed, award-winning lineup, which includes ‘Mad Men,’ ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘The Walking Dead.’ ‘The Killing,’ based on a popular Danish series (called ‘Forbrydelsen,’ if anyone wants to track down, translate and spoil it) follows the investigation of a young girl’s murder in Seattle. The 13 one-hour episodes of season 1 (two-hour premiere Sun., April 3, 9PM ET) tell the stories of the police detectives assigned to the murder, the victim’s distraught family and the suspects in the case. There are also quite a few political elements at play and, as the show’s description teases, “there are no accidents” and “everyone has a secret.”

Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are “heroes in their hometown” Ryan Seacrest says in kicking off “American Idol.” Hmmm, wonder how all the cops, teachers and social workers feel about that. It’s also “Idol’s” 300th episode, with three left standing after about 100,000 auditioned. They open the doors, and out stride Danny, Kris and Adam, in that order.
