Filed under: American Idol , TV Replay Last week, Paul McDonald broke the streak of five consecutive girls sent home on ‘American Idol’ (Thu., 8PM ET on FOX). With only two remaining in the Top Seven, Jennifer Lopez made no bones about not wanting to see a girl go home this week. When the show brought out the eliminated contestants last week for an opening performance, the gender bias of the season was painfully obvious, as poor McDonald tried to keep up with the five girls on a girl-power song.
