Filed under: Reality-Free , TV Replay There were a lot of touching moments during last night’s ‘One Tree Hill’ season 8 finale — appropriate, seeing as the episode would’ve served as the series finale had The CW not picked up the show for a shortened, 13-episode ninth season yesterday. While there were plenty of heartwarming scenes to choose from (a couple reunited, another had an emergency C-section to deliver their twin boys, another bought a recliner), the moment that struck me as the most memorable was a touching father-daughter bonding session between Nathan and his newborn daughter, Lydia, who was strapped to a carrier on his chest.

Filed under: Reality-Free , Celebrity Interviews It’s always fun to talk to Bill Lawrence because you never know where the conversation is going to go. When I spoke to him earlier this week, the conversation ranged from ratings to his wife Christa Miller appearing on the Howard Stern show to ‘Hanna Montana.’ But the best parts are the tidbits about his show, ‘Cougar Town.’ For instance, Lawrence told me that Sam Lloyd will appear in the show’s Hawaii-based second-season finale, as his ‘Scrubs’ character, hapless lawyer Ted Buckland, a move that had been rumored a few months ago . He’ll be there to help Travis through some tough times

Kelly Ripa attempts to read the longest word in the English language, a 1,185-character name for a protein found inside the tobacco mosaic virus, on ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ (weekdays, syndicated). Ripa spends a good half minute struggling with the word, repeatedly uttering sounds like “la-la” and “lursal-lursal,” and doesn’t even make it a quarter of the way through.
